Estate agents and auctioneers
The Packs contain an Energy Performance Certificate and other key documents such as evidence of title, local authority and drainage and water searches, and key leasehold documents where appropriate.
As an estate agent or auctioneer, the duty to ensure there is a Pack available will usually fall on you, so it's important that you're aware of your obligations and the penalties for non-compliance.
Additionally, Home Information Packs and the provision of Home Condition Reports present your business with an opportunity to provide a quality service to your clients and distinguish your company from the crowd.
Sales of homes by auction need a HIP and the duties that apply in relation to estate agents will also apply to auctioneers.
