From 14 December 2007, HIPs will cover the whole of the residential property market in England and Wales.

The role of the Home Inspector is to produce Home Condition Reports and Energy Performance Certificates for inclusion in Home Information Packs. Home Inspectors require in-depth knowledge and practical understanding of residential building construction and defects across a range of properties.
