Domestic Energy Assessors
From 14 December 2007, HIPs will cover the whole of the residential property market in England and Wales.
Read CLG's 22 November 2007 press notice on the full roll out of HIPs and the benefits of the Energy Performance Certificate.
See theĀ timetable for measures brought in by EPBD regulations.
The role of the Domestic Energy Assessor is to produce Energy Performance Certificates for inclusion in Home Information Packs. These certificates, like fridges, will provide A-G ratings on the energy efficiency of a home, plus advice on how to make further energy savings. Energy Assessors require in-depth knowledge and practical understanding of the energy efficiency of properties.
