What's in a Home Information Pack?

Can I rely on it?
Lenders are able to legally rely on key documents in the Pack, including the Energy Performance Certificate, standard required searches and, where it is provided, the Home Condition Report - this is specified in the Regulations.
The Home Condition Report (see our Publications page) has been designed in a standard electronic format, and contains much of the information needed by lenders to derive valuations using methods other than a physical inspection of the home. Using the Report could therefore reduce costs to consumers.
